Greensburg — Leonard Moore, 72 of Maryville, Tenn., formerly of Greensburg, passed away on Friday, July 9.

He was born Feb. 9, 1938 in Brookville, the son of Cam and Lettie (Smith) Moore and step father Glen Powers. He married Jan Cardin on May 19, 1998 in Kentucky. Leonard worked 11 years for Hillenbrand Inc. of Batesville, and GE and Wellman in Shelbyville for 33 years before retiring. He was a former member of Kingdom Hall in Greensburg and was baptized as J.W. in 1959. He was also a member of the Shelbyville and Maryville East Congregation in Tenn.

He is survived by wife Jan Cardin of Maryville, Tenn.; daughters Jennifer Moore of Greensburg and Lynett (Kyle) Keller of Greensburg; one son of Greensburg; three step sons Gary Dow, Edward Ashley Cardin and Charles Cardin; two step daughters Vanessa Washington and Honorine Cardin; three brothers Robert (Carol) Moore of Rushville, Timothy (Shelia) Powers of Westport and Michael (Elsie) Powers of Dixon, Mo.; one sister Nada (Eugene) Todd of Richmond, Ky.; one step brother Glen L. Powers Jr. of Pendleton, Ind.; one step sister Katherine Everroad of North Vernon; three step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald Moore and step sister Clara Etta Fletcher. A Memorial Service will be held for family and friends at the at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 31 at the Kingdom Hall, 930 E. Washington Street Greensburg.
