Justine “Judy” H. White, 92, of Titusville, Fla., passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at her residence.
She was born April 17, 1920 in Shelby County, the daughter of Clarence and Lillian Hinkle.
Judy had lived in Titusville, Fla. for the past three years. She previously lived in St. Paul. She worked as a bookkeeper for Shelby Tool and Engineering and also did office work for Myers Frozen Food.
Judy earned a certification through Indiana University as a nursing home director and was employed by the Americana Nursing home of Indianapolis, and as a personal director at W.S. Major Hospital of Shelbyville. Judy was also a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Judy is survived by a son, Jeffrey S. White, of Titusville, Fla., a grandson, Jeffery B. (Lindsey) White of Oviedo, Fla., and three great-grandchildren: Peyton Marie, Nathan Parker and Kelsey Anne White. Judy is also survived by extended family members David (Marsha Anne), of Martinsville, and Marcia Gay Bales and her two children, Samantha and Jonathon Bales, of Riverside, Calif., and Connie Rigney, of Titusville, Fla., who was Judy’s companion and caregiver.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Jack B. White and second husband Walter Hap Gay, and a sister, Nell Wood.
Funeral services begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2 at Glenn E. George Funeral Home, St. Pau, Rev. Mark Dodd officiating. A time of visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Van Pelt Cemetery in Shelby County.
