Dorothy Mae Miller, 87

Greensburg — Dorothy Mae Miller, 87, of North Vernon, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at Jennings Health Care Center in North Vernon.

She was born Feb. 19, 1925 in Zenas, the daughter of Clyde Clinton and Mary Elizabeth (Shoemake) Manlief.

She had resided on a farm in the Osgood area until 1978 when she moved to Greensburg. She had been a resident of North Vernon since 2011. She enjoyed gardening.

Dorothy married John Raymond Miller in Franklin Feb. 8, 1947 and he preceded her in death April 25, 1991.

Survivors include her sisters, Agnes Manlief of Cincinnati, Ohio and Betty Rogers of Berea, Ky.; her brother, Alvin Manlief of Westport; her grandchildren, Melissa (Todd) Patterson of North Vernon and Tony (Casey) Fulton of Westport; and her three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Leslie Miller; her sisters, Barbara Schwering and Martha Fonseth; her brothers, Ray and Roy Manlief.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m  Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport, Rev. Garland Rudd officiating.

Burial will follow in Westport Cemetery.
