Connie S. (Kelley) Fischer, 60

Greensburg — Connie S. (Kelley) Fischer, 60, of Waldron, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family Monday, Jan. 7, 2013.  

Born July 4, 1952 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Gaylord and Ruth (Ross) McVey of Shelbyville and Harold and Alice Kelley of Fort Wayne. She married William Fischer Sept. 28, 1974 and he survives.

Other survivors include her mother and father and step-mother; daughter, Andrea (Andrew) Strehle of Indianapolis; brother, Robert Kelley (Janet) of Shelbyville; sister, Pam Owens (Jim) of Shelbyville; and granddaughters, Lauren and Jenna Strehle of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ryan Fischer and step-father, Gaylord McVey.

She graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1970 and was a lifelong resident of Shelby County. In earlier years she was employed in offices at Knauf, State Office Building, and Greensburg Telephone Company. More recently she was the secretary/treasurer of Fischer Spraying Inc.

She was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church.  

Connie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, journaling, taking pictures, and scrap-booking.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. with the Rosary recited at 2:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 4218 E. Michigan Rd.,Father Paul Landwerlen officiating.

Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Shelby County.
