Donald H. Eubank, 79

Greensburg — Donald H. Eubank, 79 of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

Don was born Jan. 16, 1934 in Greensburg.

He was the son of Robert and Ida Jean Hacker-Eubank.

On Nov. 9, 1958 he married Gail Joan Davis in Westport, and she survives.

Don was a 1953 graduate of Greensburg High School as well as a graduate of the Indiana Barber College. At the age of 13, Don worked as a shoeshine boy at the Broadway Barber Shop, and upon graduation from Barber College he worked there for Ben Licking for 18 years. He then later worked at Bill Strasburger’s Barber Shop in the Taylor Hotel for 19 years, then owned the Eubank Barber Shop on North Broadway Street from 1990 until his retirement in 2004.

Don was a member of First Christian Church of Greensburg.

Survivors include his wife Gail Joan, their daughter Janet Eubank of Greensburg; one brother, Fred (Lyda) Eubank of Starksville, Miss.; one brother-in-law, Calvin Davis of Greensburg; one niece and three great nieces. Don was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for family and friends will be from noon until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
