George W. Mount, 90, of Greensburg, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at Heritage House.
He was born May 30, 1922 in Shelby County, the son of Cleo and Lodemia (Bentley) Mount.
He married Mable Davis Mount Sept. 18, 1940 and she survives.
George was a farmer and a graduate of Waldron High School. He was a member of Union Chapel Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
In addition to his wife, George is survived by three daughters: Marilyn Alexander, New Orleans, La.; Jane (William) Kennedy, Columbus; and Kathy (Mike) Harrison, Indianapolis; six grandchildren: Patrick (Angie) Alexander, Thomas (Elizabeth) Alexander, David (Traci) Best, Tracey (Travis) Range, Kelly (Jordan) Swenson and Kate Harrison; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Mount, and a sister, Agnes Clapp.
Funeral services begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Glenn E. George Funeral Home, St. Paul, Rev. Dawn Barnes officiating.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the funeral home.
Burial follows in Union Chapel Cemetery.
