South FCCLA Grasps Greatness at Weekend Conference

Four South Decatur FCCLA members recently participated in a weekend leadership conference in Louisville, Ky.

Attendees participated in trainings and sessions that challenged, informed and motivated members and their advisers to become leaders through FCCLA. Nearly 3,000 members from across the nation attended the Cluster Meeting Conference.

Guest speaker Heather Schultz opened the first general session with her “Attitude is Everything” message. During the weekend attendees were encouraged to consider how critical their decisions are each day, to respect diversity and to encourage others through positive actions. The “Grasp Greatness” theme was evident throughout.

South Decatur FCCLA Members Brooke Fear, Krystal Simpson, Stephen Bennett and Leah Crank traveled to Louisville with Adviser Joyce Crane for the National Conference. Training sessions on new Star Events and National Programs were effective and informative.
