The St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 208 S. East Street will be hosting guest artist Kristine Stout, a handbell soloist from Nashville, at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1.
The event is a Merry Christmas Concert entitled “Joybells to the World.” Stout is a handbell soloist, playing in three octaves (37 bells) of English Handbells entirely by herself. She has been sharing her musical gift with audiences all over the United States through “Joybell Theater,” a traveling handbell ministry based out of Nashville, Ind. “Joybells to the World” is set to be a festive way to ignite the holiday season in Greensburg. Stout combines traditional handbell weaving techniques with a special form of ballet.
In addition to the bells, Stout also writes and performs all the arrangements for her digital keyboard orchestral accompaniments. She travels all over the United States with her joyful, spirit-filled variety programs. Those interested are invited to check out Kristine Stout on the Web at www.joybelltheater.com for an up-to-date tour schedule. A joyful, energetic, passionately joyous and inspiration program, Stout’s artistry and grace will overwhelm the musical senses of those who come out to see her.
