INDIANAPOLIS – A new regional economic development group has formed in southeastern Indiana, along Interstate 74 between Indianapolis and Cincinnati. The I-74 Business Corridor, a group of five counties and one community, serves to attract jobs along the 80-mile stretch that connects two of the nation’s largest cities. Included in the effort are the counties of Shelby, Rush, Decatur, Ripley and Dearborn, as well as the City of Batesville, Indiana.
The I-74 Business Corridor group helps area employers in their effort to grow and expand, with the ultimate goal being more jobs for area residents. Additionally, the group works closely with prospective employers from outside the area to attract new business and jobs.
After a lengthy search, the group has named Indianapolis based Brand Acceleration as agency of record for its promotional and public relations efforts. Brand Acceleration will be responsible for the development of a comprehensive brand campaign to promote the advantages of doing business in the region. The agency’s first assignment is to develop a new logo, slogan and web site.
Jim Walton, President of Brand Acceleration, said, “We are very excited about working with the group. We know each of the players very well and are thrilled to be part of the team. Our goal is to help tell the area story and attract jobs and economic growth.”
Brand Acceleration is a full-service marketing communications, public relations, and brand development firm which specializes in the areas of economic development, construction/real estate, and motorsports. The firm operates from Indianapolis, Indiana and Charlotte, North Carolina.
