Registration forms for the sixth annual “No Excuse For Abuse” 5K Run and Walk are now available at the Decatur County Family YMCA.
The run walk is being sponsored by the Ripley County Prosecutor’s Office, and the proceeds made at the event will benefit Safe Passage Inc., which provides services in Dearborn, Ripley, Franklin, Ohio and Switzerland Counties.
The event will begin for both walkers and runners at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7. The entry fee for pre-registered runners and walkers is $10, which is required by Wednesday, Oct. 21. On race day, the fee will be $12.
The course will wind its way through the city of Batesville, beginning at the Batesville Police Department located at 132 S. Main Street. Registration forms are available at the Decatur County Family YMCA, the Southeastern Indiana YMCA, the Switzerland County YMCA, the Dearborn County YMCA, Ripley Publishing, the Ripley County Prosecutor’s Office or the office of the Batesville Herald Tribune.
