Greensburg —
A Greensburg man currently held in the Decatur County Jail, without bond, faces two felony counts related to dealing in a controlled substance.
Stephen B. Capper, 30, of 120 1/2 East Washington Street, faces one count of Dealing of Methamphetamine (Class A Felony) and a single count of Dealing in a Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Class B Felony).
According to a police report filed in Decatur County Superior Court, both charges stem from a late-June undercover investigation in which Capper allegedly sold $30 worth of methamphetamine and 20 clonazepam pills, for $2 per pill, to a Greensburg Police Department (GPD) confidential informant (CI). The two transactions, according to the report, occurred June 26 and 27, respectively.
The report further states that, during the alleged methamphetamine transaction, Capper also mentioned a quantity of “flops” or alprazolam pills he was willing to sell the CI at a later date; however, this transaction never occurred, and Capper instead allegedly sold the CI the aforementioned clonazempam pills.
According to the police report, both alleged transactions occurred at Capper’s residence, which is located “within 1000 feet of a family housing complex.”
