YMCA Invests In Youth

GREENSBURG - The Decatur County Family YMCA is launching this year’s Invest in Youth Campaign.

The theme this year is "We Grow Children, We Cultivate Them With Character".

This campaign allows the YMCA to reach out to children in need. The campaign depends entirely on charitable contributions to help families in need.

Through the scholarships from the Invest in Youth Campaign, the YMCA helps to provide a wide range of programs and activities for families who cannot afford the cost of these programs. Some of the programs included are preschool, after-school activities, youth sports and swimming lessons. The YMCA works directly with Big Brother/Big Sisters and DSI participants as well as others in the community who need help and support.

Last year, thanks to charitable contributions the program raised more than $40,000. With the continued support of the community the YMCA hopes to raise $43,400 with this campaign.

The Decatur County Family YMCA stands strong with the community to provide a safe and nurturing place for children and families who are less fortunate.

The YMCA is dedicated to being available to all of our children. But it needs the support and involvement of the community in order to provide these and other programs.

Together, every child can be given a "place to go" and a "chance to grow", one child at a time.
