North Students Charge Forth with Honors
GREENSBURG - On Friday, May 8, 2009, North Decatur High School recognized 38 senior students who will be receiving the Indiana Academic Honors diploma upon their graduation on May 23, 2009.
These students, along with their parents, were treated to a dinner catered by The Rolling Pin of Versailles, Indiana, followed by guest speaker, Mr. Scott Criswell, a 1987 North Decatur High School graduate and Vice-President of the Buckeye Corporation of St. Charles, Missouri.
All of the students were presented plaques for this academic milestone by Mr. Gary Cook, Principal; Mr. Max Neimeyer, senior guidance counselor and Mr. Rod Hite, Assistant Principal. Miss Betsy Davis, senior class sponsor, introduced them and recognized their parents.
The entire banquet was sponsored by Irwin Union Bank and Don Meyer Ford-Mercury.
North Decatur extended a special thanks to Mr. Chris Bower of Irwin Union Bank and Mr. Dave Meyer of Don Meyer Ford-Mercury. Also, Dr Dan Roach – Superintendent; Mrs. Connie Nobbe – Asst. Superintendent and members of the Decatur County Community School Board of Trustees who were in attendance.
The 2009 Academic Honors Diploma candidates are: Cody Banks, Whitney Beard, Lacey Caplinger, Gina Catanese, Kendra Fasbinder, Mitch Foist, Katie Gahimer, Monica Garlitch, Kyle Gay, Chris Haunert, Kayleigh Knecht, Stephen Koetter, Mindy Koors, Meghan Lamb, Alisha Leffel, Eric Mauer, Kylie McKinney, Leeya Meece, Stephanie Morgan, Samantha Murray, Shylynn Perkins, LeAnn Power, Logan Ramp, Jessica Rand, Taylor Rempe, Lauren Sauley, Christa Scheidler, Courtney Schroder, Ann Schwering, Ashley Sorrell, Andy Seiter, Erica Stevens, Shane Tarplee, Kate Trenkamp, Sarah Wallpe, Ben Wenning, Lucas Wenning, and Matt White.
