Radio Shack Catalogs New Store
At the end of December, the JCPenney Service Center that many residents use to ship and receive catalog items left Greensburg’s downtown square. But the loss was only temporary, and area shoppers won’t be without the outlet for very long.
Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 27, the local Radio Shack, located at the Greensburg Crossing shopping center, will be able to satisfy all of the community’s JCPenney catalog needs.
Customers will be able to begin shipping, returning and making payments at Radio Shack for their JCPenney purchases. The store will also be a catalog center, which currently has the fall/winter 2008 edition available. Visitors to the Radio Shack will see the new catalog center opposite the front door. Owner and operator Dan Pacilio said that the catalog center will be “a store in a store.”
“This is something we’re glad to be offering,” Pacilio said.
Customers’ orders may be picked up at the service center or delivered directly to homes, offices or anywhere in the United States.
“JCPenney is pleased to continue offering catalog services to our loyal Greensburg customers,” Jodi Houge, JCPenney catalog sales merchant coordinator said. “The JCPenney Catalog Service Center will provide the same customer services provided by the catalog desks in our department stores, ranging from processing of credit card payments to the sale of gift cards.”
Copies of the Spring and Summer Big Book will be available when the service center opens for business later in January. The JCPenney Catalog Service Center will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The phone number for the catalog center is 812-663-2484.
