Greensburg —
A Greensburg man was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of child molesting, a class "A" felony.
According to Charging Information filed in Decatur County Superior Court Wednesday, Gary L. Bare, 67, was charged for two separate alleged incidents involving two separate young women. Both of the alleged victims were under the age of 18 when the incidents were said to have taken place.
The incidents in question occurred over the course of several months in 1983 for one victim. The other charge stems from actions allegedly performed throughout a four-year period from 1985 to 1989.
In both incidents, court documents allege that Bare engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with the victims, which involved fondling and touching.
Both incidents allegedly occurred at Bare's Greensburg residence at the time.
Due to the age of the victims at the time of the alleged crime, further specifics regarding the crime were not made available.
Decatur County Prosecutor Jim Rosenberry declined comment, saying only he couldn't comment on a pending case.
According to documents, Bare posted a $10,500.00 cash bond Sept. 11, and is currently free awaiting a court appearance at 1 p.m., Sept. 26.
