More Snow Tries To Lick Area Motorists, Residents

While this dog may be out frolicking and enjoying the snow, the current winter storm will be causing Indiana motorists headaches for the next few days.

A “winter storm warning” is in effect for the state through Wednesday, Feb. 10 afternoon at 1 p.m. According to the National Weather Service of the United States, a winter storm warning is issued if at least four to six inches of snow is predicted with a large accumulation of ice also forecasted.

According to WISH-TV 8, snowfall potential will be significant on Tuesday and Wednesday, with widespread totals in the range of four to eight possible inches. There will be some Indiana towns with more snowfall, especially north of Indianapolis. The snow started falling Monday evening and will become heavy at times today. Right now, forecasters are predicting about one to three inches on the ground for the morning commute Tuesday. More snow and more wind are expected later Tuesday and Wednesday. Snow totals by the time this storm system moves out will be four to eight inches and higher in the northern sections of the state.
