Greensburg/Decatur County Chamber of Commerce
Jennifer Sturges
Executive Director
The mission of the Greensburg/Decatur County Chamber of Commerce is to build a positive business environment by providing strategic leadership, advocacy, and resources for our members. We recognize the huge economic stimulus that Honda will bring with them as they build and then operate their new facility. The chamber is ready and capable of helping to serve our current businesses to recognize and find ways to take advantage of this opportunity laid before us. We will be helping to prepare the community over the next two years through timely educational programs, marketing and promotions through events, publications and distribution of materials. We have already begun meeting with providers to develop training programs such as “retention,” “small business marketing,” “Career Pathing,” and “QuickBooks.” We have begun to evaluate our publications and plan to roll out new maps, community profiles, and relocation folders to help promote our local businesses.

For Custom Conveyor, Inc. and Honda it would be a mutually advantageous relationship. This project is in our facility and will be here for approximately two weeks before shipment and installation. See attached photos. CCI has recently completed a project for Toyota and a project for Mercedes Benz. For 26 years, CCI has had and maintains a close relationship with the automotive industry and is hopeful that Honda will join our satisfied automotive customers. Additionally, we have designed, built and installed multi-million dollar projects simultaneously. We also provide our customers with service, parts accessibility and guaranteed warranty on the equipment we install.

Summit Microsystems Inc/ Thomas Lynn Furniture
James T Mills Jr.
CEO
We are confident that the new plant will be a benefit to our little community. I also believe that Honda will by its very nature cause the area to grow and develop into a much larger economic base. I believe that if handled correctly we can grow together and our population increase will be manageable and well provided for. As far as the benefits of the Honda plant being built here, I believe that we (Thomas Lynn Furniture, and Summit Microsystems Inc.) will be ready to provide quality home furnishings and computer sales and repair to the people currently and continually as this number increases. We have put into place a growth plan that includes expanding product supply as well as personnel to handle these increases. We look forward to working with all of those in the community that are in need of our products and services.
