Honda Central
DEAR EDITOR: Not a done deal...
Dear Editor:
It should be no surprise that residents of our state and, in particular, Southeastern Indiana are enthusiastic about the prospect of Honda locating here. Honda is a reputable company known for excellent products and now their Indy Racing League partnership.
Despite our enthusiasm, we also respect the difficulty of the decision that lies ahead for Honda. There are dozens of considerations and it is important that the community chosen be the right match for their company.
Many companies have been faced with similar decisions and discovered what we have to offer in Southeastern Indiana. We value the strong work ethic, proximity to metropolitan areas, a quality of life that includes safe environments for our residents, good education for our children, and a distinctive level of Hoosier hospitality. We’re proud to call it home and think that Honda would be too.
Ultimately, whatever the decision of Honda may be, we respect the journey it takes to get there. We are proud to be considered as a potential site and know that many others have discovered what we’ve known for quite some time. Southeastern Indiana is a great place to live, work, and visit!
Sincerely,
Cleo Duncan
