Claire Wallace has resided in Decatur County her whole life, which has been a total of five years so far.
Claire lives with her parents, Joseph and Kim Wallace, and her baby sister, Avery.
"Avery drags things around a lot. She kisses me, but sometimes she is pestery," Claire admitted the honest truth about having a sister.
She rides the bus with her grandpa, Bob Ramp, to kindergarten. She attends North Decatur Elementary in Meredith Acra's class. She has quickly learned how to write her name and count to 20.
For Christmas, Claire would like an Easy Bake Oven to make real food in, a double stroller with two seats side-by-side and a puzzle for her sister.
"Of course I'm not leaving Santa cookies. I'm just kidding," Claire said with a giggle.
Her favorite thing about Christmas is her Christmas tree because it is pretty with all the lights and ornaments on it. She also enjoys the brightly colored lights that twirl up the railing on her staircase.
Her favorite Christmas song is Jingle Bells. Her house is full of animated Santas, penguins and candy canes that sing and dance. She even has a headband with reindeer antlers and a shiny red nose to dress up as Rudolph.
Claire likes playing dress up all year long. She has many different themed outfits from a cowgirl to a hula skirt. She knows how to be creative and invent new ways of playing. She especially likes to take all the pillows off the couch and build houses and bridges for her and Avery to escape from monsters or dragons.
Her favorite food is Spaghetti-os. For after school snacks, Claire munches on Nilla Wafers, frosted animal crackers or the occasional cupcake. Her favorite color is pink, which is obvious by the giant pink tent in her bedroom.
While she likes to talk about herself and all the things that fill her world, the one thing she likes most is playtime. For her, playtime is anytime even when being interviewed.
"Enough with this talking stuff," Claire concluded as she proceeded to play.
