Residents of Arbor Grove Village took a trip to the square to visit the Community Wall at the Art on the Square Fine Arts Gallery.
Each month, the Arts and Cultural Council features a community group on the wall, and Arbor Grove Village is the first to be presented. Among the artists whose work now hangs on the wall is Corinne Moulton, 93. She began painting and drawing when her kids were little, she said. At first, her work was largely made up of cartoon drawings and other fun items. Over time, she has created quite a portfolio of varied paintings. Her work hangs in the homes of family members and one of the pieces being presented this month usually hangs in her own bedroom, daughter Marilyn Brown explained.
Moulton raised two children, Brown and her son Stanley who passed away about two decades ago. In all, she has seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The Arts and Cultural Council offers the Community Wall to organizations in the Greensburg and Decatur County communities for a period of one month. To learn more or to sign up an organization for a month on the wall, call the ACCDC at 663-8600.
