Country Girls and Guys 4-H

The Country Girls and Guys 4-H Group met at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec.11 at the Kingston Presbyterian Church.

There were 30 members in attendance. The meeting was called to order by President Kevin Geis. The pledge to the American flag was lead by Emma Geis. The 4-H pledge was lead by Adam Hartman.  Roll call was answered by: What you want for Christmas. The secretary report was given by Emily Martin. Treasurer's report was given by Alex Crowe. A health and safety report was given by Lane Geis. Demonstrations were given by Kellen Bruns on getting your car ready for winter and Delaney Bruns on how to put the finishing touches on your wrapping presents.

Members were reminded of the March 1 enrollment deadline, the upcoming beef weigh-in in January and the types of workshops and scholarships that are available. Our club was again chosen as an Honor club for our outstanding membership, participation in community events, and meeting participation. The 4-H Council awarded us a check for $100 for this honor.  Members then colored Christmas pictures for the residents at Morning Breeze. The meeting was adjourned to refreshments served by: The Cuskaden Family, Phil Fisse and Ericka Fixmer.  The club then enjoyed a gift exchange right/left game.

Our next meeting will be Sunday, Jan. 8, place to be determined.
