Greensburg —
BATESVILLE - Andrew "Fuzz" Springmeyer has received his associate's degree in culinary arts after graduating in Nov. 2010 from Cincinnati State Midwest Culinary Institute.
Springmeyer had been a cook at the Sherman House in Batesville for two years when he began culinary school.
"This was a great advantage because I was already used to the pressure of a high-paced kitchen with attention to detail," Springmeyer commented.
"Fuzz has grown considerably as a cook and having earned his chef certification adds to the Sherman House's strength and creativity in the kitchen," Sherman House owner and general manager Doug Bessler added.
Springmeyer graduated from Batesville High School in 2008 and is continuing his studies at Northern Kentucky University working toward his bachelor's degree in business management. He is the son of Gary Springmeyer of Greensburg and Theresa Simmons of Batesville.
