Artists from southeast Indiana are invited to participate in the second Annual Indiana Art Show Friday, March 9 through Sunday, March 11 at the RomWeber Marketplace in Batesville. The show is being sponsored by the Ripley County Tourism Bureau to promote artists in the area and the "By Hoosier Hands" Art Trails booklet.
"We were very pleased last year, our first year, with the number and quality of local artists," noted Katherine Taul, executive director of the Ripley County Tourism Bureau, "we hope they all come back, and many more. The Marketplace is a wonderful venue for the artists to display their work and we welcome all mediums."
A preview party will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday to allow visitors a chance to talk to the artists and have first choice of the art available. Reservations are required, $10 per person, and includes a glass of wine and hors d'oeuvres. Preview party reservations can be made by calling the RomWeber Marketplace 513-519-9936.
The show continues Saturday and Sunday, March 10-11. Saturday the show will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday with no admission charge and free parking. The RomWeber Marketplace is located at 7 South Eastern Ave, Batesville, Indiana.

The "By Hoosier Hands" booklet shows four art trails throughout southeast Indiana, flowing through seven counties. The booklet highlights artists, craft persons, specialty food items and restaurants, as well as places to stay along the trail. The book, $4, will be available at the Art Show, and is also available at the Batesville Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center and the Ripley County Tourism Bureau Welcome Center in Versailles, or by calling the Tourism Bureau.

The show is in celebration of the region's newly released "Handcrafted and Homegrown", a guide to southeast Indiana artisans. The booklet, available for $4, features four artisan trails throughout the region.
