Kitchen Kookies Extension Homemakers Club



Members of the Kitchen Kookies Extension Homemakers Club met December 1 at the Dutch Mill Buffet for their Christmas party. A delicious meal was enjoyed by nine members and 6 guests. After the meal, secret pals were revealed and everyone had a fun time opening their gifts. New secret pals were drawn for 2008.

The club will meet December 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Marilyn Davis to enjoy her Christmas trees and then go on to the home of Helen Hamilton to see her tree collection. The next meeting will be January 2 in the home of Helen n Parker. Barbara Smiley will present the lesson.



Clinton Extension Homemakers



The Clinton Extension Homemakers met December 4th at Cricket Ridge Restaurant for their annual Christmas party. Seventeen members and 8 guests attended: Don Bruner, George Chadwell, Gary Davis, Bill Flack, April Fruchtnicht, Ron Kent, Richard Mahan and Max Richey. President, Connie Fruchtnicht offered grace. The salad bar was enjoyed before the family style meal of fried chicken, roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, potatoes au gratin, carrots, green beans, and hot rolls. For dessert, Connie had baked delicious cookies for everyone. Pauline White had an interesting contest of matching Christmas songs to a drawing or illustration. Winners were: Marilyn Jackson, Regina Osborn and Marilyn Davis. Regina had a contest of putting together a puzzle from Christmas cards. The winners were Dorothy Mahan, Marilyn Jackson and Connie. Linda Volk had a contest of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" and winners were Katie Spreckelson, Pam Blasdel, Sharon Alverson, Donna Flint, and Willy Smith. Each member received a tube of hand lotion. Sharon Alverson presented each member a tube of lipstick, Connie gave each member two mini loaves of delicious bread she had baked, and Regina gave each member a sack of black walnuts. Marilyn Davis announced she had made the donation to the Cheer Fund. Connie thanked Pam for getting the prizes and everyone for attending. A grab bag gift exchange was held. Since the next regular meeting date is New Year’s Day, the meeting will be Monday, January 7th at the home of Janie Stutz. The party ended with Merry Christmas wishes for everyone.



Fifty Extension Homemakers Club



The Fifty Extension Homemakers Club had their Christmas luncheon, December 12, 2007 at Cricket Ridge Restaurant. After lunch, everyone enjoyed opening gifts. Tonia Schofield, who was unable to attend sent candy for everyone. The officers presented gifts to the other members, Bertha Head, Marjorie Wettering and Helen Swango won prizes and the Club gave a special gift to President, Isabelle Royse. Others present were Virginia Arnold, Linda Gommel, Mary Marsh, Viola Minning, Lois Obermeyer, Marsha Kreuzman and Jeanette Swango.
