Night Extension Homemaker's Club

Nine members and one guest of the Night Extension

Homemaker's Club were in attendance for the  Mexican Fiesta International Night at the El Reparo Restaurant on Tuesday, April 10. Over 80 ladies were there to enjoy the evening and our delicious meal of Mexican foods which included enchiladas, chalupas, quesadilla, and cheero for dessert.

What great food we had!  Our speaker, Hector, told us about Mexico and answered our questions, too.

We voted on our top choice for the cultural arts article that will go to the Home and Family Conference in May. County president Helen Swango had packets for  each club  that included information about dues, officers, member information, homemaker of the year nomination form, and officer guides. All clubs need to complete this information and get it returned. Also, incoming county president Marilyn Davis gave a pep talk to the ladies.

Our club held a brief meeting after our meal.  President Catherine Mauer had the ladies decide on their lesson choices for next club year. Also, she passed out the lesson, Do you know your medical history?

She announced that our club will be co-hosting the Achievement night in the fall with Club 53.

We will meet next on May 2 at Bernardine Mack's home in Batesville, with Liz Hally as co-hostess. Bessie Ploeger will give a lesson. Also, each member is requested to bring $10 to pay for her county dues.

A special thank you to El Reparo and staff for our delightful evening in Mexico.
