Clinton Club Home Ec group
The Clinton Club Home Ec group met on Tuesday, January 2 at the home of Janie Stutz. Delicious refreshments were served. President Connie Fruchtnicht called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Home Ec. Creed were recited. Roll Call was answered by 11 members and 1 guest. Janie gave a prayer for devotions. The thought of the month was read. Maxine Hayes led the members in the song "Auld Lang Syne". Happy Birthday was sung to our guest. Happy Anniversary was sung to members. The November and December minutes were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was given.
Old Business included a report on the Christmas party and discussion that our club was started on January 31, 1935 and is 72 years old.
Health and Safety lesson was given on The Importance of Flossing your Teeth. It was also noted that winter is harder on people with the change of atmospheric pressure and can lead to heart attacks.
New Business included Craft/Food Day will be January 20 from 9:30 – 3:30 at the Jennings County Library. Plans were discussed for our June meeting to start at the Last Supper Museum House. Additional possibilities for club tours include the Joy Bell Theater in Nashville, IN or Perfume making in Atlanta, IN.
A book of recipes from a former member’s daughter was shared.
A lesson was given on the culture of our Native Americans by Janie Stutz with a slide presentation of a trip to Colorado and New Mexico last fall.
Door prizes were won by Reggie Osborn, Connie Fruchtnicht, Marilyn Davis, Maxine Hayes and Pam Blasdel. The next meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 7pm at the home of Pam Blasdel.

The Candlelighters Club met at Ponderosa for their birthday party on April 11 with four members.
All the members enjoyed their meals and being together. - Club Chatter (3/10) The Alpha Pi Chapter of AOA met on February 27 at the Cracker Barrel in Shelbyville. Valerie Donaca was hostess for the occasion.

- Club Chatter The Night Extension Homemakers Club members have always said that if the weather conditions are not desirable, then we would probably not have our meeting. Well, this happened on Wednesday, with the snow and very cold temperatures.
