Greensburg — Honda Manufacturing of Indiana recently presented GECOM Corporation with a 2011 Supplier Award. This award recognizes GECOM as among the best Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) suppliers in the world. Representatives from Honda's Greensburg plant and associates from GECOM pose outside of GECOM's facility. Honda suppliers across the country were honored for their excellence in one or more of three categories: quality, delivery and value. GECOM was honored for their excellence in value. Honda's North American OEM parts purchases totaled $16 billion in 2011, and its parts purchases over the past five years in the region have exceeded $85 billion.
