Greensburg —
At a steering committee evaluation meeting last week, Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) announced the estimated total profit from the hospital's annual gala, held April 13, in Columbus.
DCMH director of Community relations David J. Fry told the Daily News that the event raised over $51,000.
"That total not only exceeds the $37,000 we've raised through the gala in each of the last two years," Fry said, "but it also far surpasses the $40,000 goal we set for this year's event."
Fry added that the additional profits from this year's gala came through additional sponsors and from approximately 100 additional attendees compared to last year's event.
"We couldn't be more pleased," he said, "and we're excited about the possibilities for next year's gala."
