Greensburg — James LaFramboise, 20, was officially charged with the murder of his great aunt, Mary Alice Simonson, 76, this afternoon. According to police reports, LaFramboise slit Simonson's throat then called for EMS around 9 a.m. He was taken into custody at the scene and charged about 3 p.m. Thursday.

Dennis Imel, Jr. was sentenced this afternoon to 8 years minus time served in the reckless homicide conviction stemming from his father's death.

Courtney Gail Tressler was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 18 on charges of neglect of a dependant, a Class A Felony, and reckless homicide, a Class A Felony.
The jury deliberated for nearly four hours before returning with a guilty verdict of reckless homicide in the case against James Dennis Imel Jr. The charge was added during the second day as an additional consideration to the murder charge.
