ISP Cautions Drivers

I-74 and I-275 are snow covered and slick.

All other U.S. and State Roads are snow covered slick and hazardous.

All county roads are snow covered, slick and hazardous.

There may be lane restrictions and traffic back-ups. Use caution and reduce speed, particularly when approaching our troopers who are assisting motorists and investigating crashes.

The Indiana State Police need to leave their phone lines open for emergency calls. Motorists can access road and weather information by visiting INDOT’s websiteTrafficWise.IN.gov or dial 800-261-ROAD (7623).

  • One killed in two-car crash this morning

    The Decatur County Sheriff's Department is reporting one person was killed when a car collided with a box truck around 10 a.m. on State Road 3 South. The crash shutdown the highway until about 11:15. The identity of the decased and other details are not available at this time. Check back for more details.

  • County Commissioners Uphold APC Decision

    Bex Farms and Bestway Disposal came before the Decatur County Commissioners Tuesday to appeal the decision of the Area Plan Commission to deny the rezoning 151 acres adjacent to the current landfill. The Commissioners reiterated the APC decision by voting unanimously not to rezone the ground.
