Clifford J. Meyer, 81

Clifford J. Meyer, 81, Greensburg, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at the Morning Breeze Nursing Home in Greensburg.

Born, October 24, 1926 in Franklin Co., Indiana, he was the son of Frank H. and Amelia (Waechter) Meyer.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in WWII. He was retired from Federal Mogul Corp., where he was a tool and die maker for many years. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus in Greensburg.

He was married to Suzanne J. Shumaker on June 22, 1950 and she preceded him in death on August 17, 2007.

He is survived by four children, Denise Meyer, Scottsdale, Az., Jeff Meyer, Greensburg, Julie (George) Peck, Greensburg, Brian (Monica) Meyer, Dayton, Oh, three brothers; Gilbert Meyer, Oldenburg, Adrian Meyer, Oldenburg, Leon Meyer, Adams, one sister; Edith Albers, Cincinnati, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 2 step-grandchildren, and 6 step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother; Donnie Meyer.

Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Friday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A Prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg with Msgr. Harold Knueven officiating.

Interment will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg.

Memorials may be made to the St. Mary’s School Fund.
