David and Jessica Papenhaus


The Mellwood Arts and Entertainment Center in Louisville, KY was the setting for the New Years Eve 2009 wedding and reception of David Papenhaus and Jessica Peercy. The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Joan Peercy of Louisville, KY. The groom is the son of Charlie and Joyce Papenhaus of Greensburg.

The 7:30 p.m. ceremony was conducted by Ken Sheilley of Louisville and former pastor and family friend of the Peercy family. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The scripture reading was given by Parker Sproul, a cousin of the bride. Serving Communion were Kevin and Charlie Papenhaus and Jeremy and Jerry Peercy. Matron of Honor was Holly Lewis. Bridesmaids were Katie McNeil, Emily Peercy, Jessi Darst and Amanda Rice, all friends of the bride.

Serving as Best Man was Greg Scudder. The groomsmen were Kevin Papenhaus, brother of the groom; Steve Cooley, Jeremy Peercy and Ryan Davis, all friends of the groom.

A buffet style meal was catered by Mirabelle Catering of Louisville. The DJ was Glen Davis, also of Louisville.

The bridegrooms parents hosted a rehearsal dinner on Dec. 30, 2009 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Frank Maternal, grandparents of the bride. A catered meal was enjoyed by all.

For their honeymoon, the couple chose a seven day Western Caribbean Cruise to Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, Mexico. They are now at home in Jeffersonville, where Dave is a teacher for the Greater Clark County School System. Jessica is employed in Louisville by Dazzle Salons.
