Greensburg — There are some truly special people in this world.

If we meet even one of them in our lifetime, we should consider ourselves fortunate. Let me tell you about two special people who are an inspiration to all, as they just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family Sunday October 2, 2011.

Leo J. Fruchtnicht and Mary M. Hunteman were married October 6, 1951 by Rev. Shuster at the First Presbyterian Church in Greensburg. Retired from farming, Leo and Mary live on their farm near Sandusky.

They enjoy gardening and Leo enjoys spending time in his workshop carving and crafting unique and clever treasures for his family.

They are blessed with children Kenneth Fruchtnicht, Richard (Connie) Fruchnicht, Danny (Joni) Fruchtnicht, all of Greensburg, and Ruth (John) Fruchtnicht/Conner of Carmel.

They are surrounded by grandchildren, Beth (Bruce) Fruchtnicht/Koors, Brian (Nancy) Fruchtnict, Lacey (Paul) Cunningham, April Fruchtnicht, Michael and Bradley Conner.

They also take pleasure in two great-grandsons: Hunter and Jensen Fruchtnicht.
