Greensburg —
Paul Stone won the Indy Super Pull at the Indiana State Fair and is currently second in the nation in the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Pro Stock Class.
The Stone's campaign a 3,000 horsepower, 10,000 pound Pro Stock John Deere 4620 named the Rollin' Stone. Paul said he and his father Tim Stone have been pulling together since 1999.
Two years ago, Tim began building the current tractor which is completely hand-made. Stone attributes the tractor's success to finally being able to get it well-tuned, keeping the parts up-to-date and moving weights at the right time.
Stone said they are currently running second in a close points chase which will conclude at Lucas Oil Speedway in Missouri in September.
The next national level pull will be at the Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa.
