About us
  • This is YOUR Newspaper! Greensburg, located in picturesque Decatur County in southeastern Indiana, is conveniently situated on Interstate 74 between Indianapolis and Cincinnati. Greensburg is known for the world-famous Tower Tree, which pokes out of the Decatur County Courthouse, and is a destination point for visitors and travelers alike.

While home to generations of native Decatur Countians, Greensburg and Decatur County have welcomed many new residents to the area, especially during the last few years. Building on a vibrant downtown, the area is seeing strong retail and industrial growth. Delta Faucet, one of the area's largest employers, is currently undergoing a $10 million dollar expansion in its plating and distribution division. Home to several new industries, the new railway park will lead to further industrial and retail development.

Many residents enjoy the simple pleasures of small-town life, such as meeting at local restaurants each morning for coffee and a group discussion of what has happened since the previous morning, or working out with friends at the YMCA. Others are caught up in the growth of the community, as new business and industry move into the area.

The Daily News has served Decatur and surrounding counties since 1894, reaching nearly 14,000 readers Tuesday through Saturday, and nearly 30,000 readers on Mondays. When partnered with sister publications in Rush, Ripley and Franklin counties, advertisers can reach more than 90,000 readers who are ready, willing and able to buy their products and services.
